WHAT IS PLAY THERAPY?
Play therapy is an effective therapeutic intervention for children, from 4 - 14, creative arts therapy is used for those 14 +, who have emotional or behaviour difficulties. It is an effective way to help those who have attachment difficulties and those who have witnessed and experienced traumatic events.
Children find it difficult to talk about what is on their mind and how they feel about things that are happening and have happened in their lives. Play and Creative Arts Therapy provides them with a safe space to explore these emotions and feelings using different mediums without the need to talk.
Children can be seen in school so that their school day is not disrupted too much.
